Live Update: Nepal COVID-19 Cases Cross 500-Mark, 3 Deaths

In the last 24 hours, Nepal has reported 50 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total tally to 507. Currently, there are 434 active cases and 70 recovery cases.

Meanwhile, three patients have died from COVID-19 in Nepal.

The 50 patients include-

  • Sarlahi district – 15
  • Banke – 14
  • Kapilvastu district – 9
  • Kailali – 3
  • Nawalparasi district – 4
  • Bharatpur – 2
  • Baitadi – 1
  • Dadeldhura – 1
  • Morang – 1

However, 21 patients were recovered and discharged from various hospitals today, taking the total recoveries to 70.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the Nepali Government has conducted COVID-19 tests on 124,604 suspects. Among the total tests, 42,488 tests were conducted through the PCR method and 82,116 though the RDT method.

A total of 3,819 suspects were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

With the continuous rise in coronavirus cases in the country, the local authorities are implementing stringent measures to stave off coronavirus spread.

Lately, Rawabesin rural municipality has closed all the entry points and banned the movement of people and vehicles.

Likewise, Shankharapur municipality has also closed all transit points.
