So far, Nepal has reported almost 67,000 coronavirus infection cases and 430 deaths cases. Currently, there are 18,142 active cases and 48,061 recovery cases.
Meanwhile, the global coronavirus caseload has reached 31,787,504, with maximum cases from the US, India, and Brazil.
The death toll has reached 975,541. As of today, there are 7,409,255 active cases, with 7,347,172 patients in mild condition and 62,083 in critical condition.
So far, 23,402,708 patients have successfully recovered from the coronavirus infection across the world.
COVID-19 in Nepal
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 1,356 new positive cases were reported in Nepal in the last 24 hours, taking the nation’s COVID-19 caseload to 66,632.
Unfortunately, two patients have lost their lives while undergoing treatment for coronavirus on Tuesday, pushing the nation’s death tally to 429.
Earlier on Monday, 16 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, the country’s highest single-day fatalities so far.
Meanwhile, 823 patients were discharged across the country after a successful recovery in the past 24 hours. With this, the country’s total recoveries reached 48,061, with a recovery rate of 72%.
Among the 18,142 active cases, 8,939 people are in home isolation and 9,193 in quarantine facilities.
According to the MoHP, 196 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and 31 are on ventilator support.
COVID-19 Cases in Kathmandu Valley Nears 18,000
The Kathmandu Valley has reported 647 new positive cases in the past 24 hours. Of them, 511 were recorded in Kathmandu, 73 in Lalitpur, and 63 in Bhaktapur.
With this, the number of cases in the Valley has reached 17,937.
