According to the Nepali Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the country has reported 1,246 new coronavirus infection cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the country’s caseload has reached 59,573.
Among the 10,641 suspects tested for COVID-19 on Thursday, 1,246 reports came out positive. So far, the Nepali Government has conducted 882,915 PCR tests in the country.
However, the COVID-19 situation in Nepal seems to be under control as the recovery rate is significantly high compared to other countries. Currently, the country’s recovery rate stands at 72%.
In the past 24 hours, 1,243 patients have recovered from the contagion, taking the total recoveries to 42,939.
Meanwhile, four patients have lost their lives while undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the country. So far, 383 people have succumbed to the contagion. The fatality rate in the country stands at 0.64%.
There are currently 16,241 active cases in the country, among which 8,338 are in home isolation and 7,903 in quarantine centers.

Meanwhile, the global coronavirus infections topped 30 million on Thursday, with India, the USA, and Brazil witnessing alarming transmission rates.
So far, coronavirus has infected 30,351,589 globally and killed 950,555. Currently, there are 7,359,720 active cases and 22,041,314 recovery cases.
