Nepal has reported 2,636 new coronavirus cases, while 20 people have succumbed to the virus. However, 4,348 infected people have achieved complete recovery on Tuesday.
The Health Ministry stated that 7,259 PCR and 4,989 antigen tests were conducted. 1,728 people tested positive via PCR method from these tests, and 4,489 people were confirmed to be infected via antigen testing.
Factoring in the new data, Nepal’s total case tally has totaled 670,857. From this tally, a total of 592,535 people have recovered, while 9,071 have succumbed.
Presently, 32,349 people are in home isolation, while 2,061 are in institutional isolation. In addition, 649 infected people are undergoing treatment in ICUs, and 184 are clinging to their lives on ventilators.
Kathmandu Valley has reported 458 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. While 302 cases arose from Kathmandu, 56 were from Bhaktapur and the rest from the Lalitpur districts.
