In the view of linguistics, Sanskrit is the oldest, popular, and organized language in the world. Day by day, the number of people who want to learn and understand this language is increasing significantly.
In a bid to support Sanskrit students, researchers, and enthusiasts, Purna Prasad Mishra ‘Swami Keshabananda Giri’ has prepared and published the world’s largest Sanskrit-Nepali e-dictionary.
Users can download the dictionary application on android mobiles or access it through the website Knswami.
The dictionary contains 400,000 words in Sanskrit, Nepali, Hindi, and English languages with their corresponding meanings.In specific, it contains:
- 150,000 words from Sanskrit to Sanskrit
- 100,000 words from Sanskrit to Nepali
- 50,000 words from Sanskrit to Hindi
- 50,000 words from Sanskrit to English
Swami Keshabananda was motivated by his guru, the late Dr. Ramananda Giri, to prepare the dictionary. The dictionary connects the Sanskrit literacy world with eastern Philosophy and technology.
