The government of Nepal has secured one million doses of the Covidshield vaccines. The vaccines are scheduled to arrive from India before the Dashain festival.
The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that the doses would arrive from the neighboring country this week.
Previously, Nepal had secured two million doses of the same vaccine. India had shipped one million and delayed shipping the other million as the cases rose exponentially in the subcontinent. India is now sending the remaining million doses this week.
Nepal had roped in the vaccines from China, India, U.S.A., and Japan to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
